This year we are delighted to have Dr Rinke Vinkenoog from Northumbria University, who will be talking about "Bees and the bustle of the city - Do our urban landscapes offer hope for pollinating insects?"
Rinke is a passionate and informed speaker and this promises to be an excellent meeting. The talk starts at 2:00pm and will be followed by afternoon tea provided by the ladies of Wall WI. There will be our usual raffle, so any contributions to prizes will be most welcome.

Roger Patterson is the speaker at theAlnwick DBKA meeting on October 11th at 7.00 pm. If any members froom your associations would like to attend, they would be most welcome. Roger is holding "An Evening with Roger Patterson", with the purpose of helping us look at the most urgent needs in beekeeping today. He is keen to tackle our questions.
We meet at the Swarland Club, NE65 9JF (a bar but no food). Going north on the Ai, just north of the turnings to Felton on the right, take the turning to Swarland on the left. When you get to Swarland, a small village, go into the village, past the Village Square, turn right, signed Swarland Golf Club, Don't go to the Golf Club, but turn right after about 50 metres, down a lane called Ocean View, and the Club is on the left, again about 50 metres down.
